Zutons to play at Jersey Live
Tuesday 11th April 2006, 12:00AM BST.
TOP Liverpool band The Zutons will play at this year’s Jersey Live.
Organisers Positiv have confirmed that the rock ‘n’ soul fivesome, whose debut album was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, will take the penultimate slot on 2 September before headliners Snow Patrol.
‘We’ve been trying to get The Zutons since the first festival in 2004 so we’re quite excited – especially since we got the news that they’ve gone straight in at number nine in the Top 40 with their new single,’ Positiv’s Warren Le Sueur said.
‘We wanted something with an element of raunchy blues.
It’ll be great for a festival, so we’re really glad they’ve said yes at last.’
