Filter-in-turn junctions for town roads?
Thursday 13th April 2006, 12:00AM BST.
JUNCTIONS in the north of town could become filter-in-turns following a suggestion by a member of the St Helier roads committee.
The Rev Iain MacFirbhisigh says the Jersey tradition of the filter-in-turn should be extended to the ‘highly dangerous’ arrangements at ring road junctions at the top of St Mark’s Road opposite the Hotel de France, at the foot of Wellington Road and approaching the turn towards Grand Marché opposite the Animals Shelter.
Transport Minister Guy de Faye has invited him to make a proposal through the roads committee, and says it will be given due consideration.
