More drugs sent in post

THE quantity of illegal drugs being sent to the Island through the post has risen substantially.
Customs have seized over £200,000 worth in the past six months.
Heroin was the main drug found in the 32 seizures picked out at Post Headquarters at Rue des Prés by drugs dogs.
Following those finds Customs made seven arrests.
Head of Customs enforcement Steve Le Marquand said that although most of the letters and packages containing illegal drugs came from the main cities of the UK, they had seized six packages from Poland in the past six months.
