Horton collapses on golf course
Friday 28th April 2006, 12:00AM BST.
PROFESSIONAL golfer Tommy Horton collapsed on the Royal Jersey golf course on Wednesday and was rushed to hospital.
The incident happened as he was jogging back to his car to get a golf club which he had forgotten to include in his bag.
He was taken by ambulance to the General Hospital and was kept in overnight, being released some time last night.
It is understood that he fainted, but was conscious when the ambulance arrived.
The 64-year-old, who has consistently topped the earnings table in the European senior tour, will be travelling to see a heart specialist in the UK as he suffers from anaemia and his fainting incident is understood to be linked to that.
