Extra night planned for festival

THE Jersey Live festival will be over two nights for the first time this year – and number one sensation Sandi Thom will be among the headline acts on the first night.

The Friday show will have a more laid-back, acoustic feel than the rock and dance of day two – and the capacity will be 3,750, half that of the Saturday event.

Promoters Positiv have been busy behind the scenes trying to secure permission for the extended event on Friday 1 September and to find a line-up worthy of the festival.

Now it seems they have pulled it off, subject to final approvals.

One of the event organisers, Matthew Corbin, said: ‘For the last year we have worked very closely with the Parish of Trinity police, States of Jersey Police, relevant Island authorities and our senior planning and management team to make the Jersey Live festival possible.
