Grand plans for hotel

MILLIONS are about to be spent turning the Grand into what could be Jersey’s first five-star hotel.

A conference centre, ‘fine dining’ restaurant, champagne bar and concierge will all be part of the updated hotel, which Hilwood Resorts and Hotels want to be firmly ranked in the five-star category.

The Grand Jersey Hotel will be the first hotel to be developed by the company, who are looking to build up a portfolio of hotels.

Joint managing director Gregor Ritchie, who has previously been involved in the refurbishment of the L’Horizon, said it was the right time to invest in the industry.
