Crills merge with Cayman law group
Tuesday 4th July 2006, 12:00AM BST.
JERSEY law firm Crills has become part of Cayman-based global law group Walkers.
The merger announced will not alter the partnership structure of the Jersey firm and all 47 staff will be retained.
However, the Crills name has already been rebranded under the Walkers banner and the firm will be relocating before the end of the year to the former HSBC building at the top of Hill Street.
Walkers, which has offices in the British Virgin Islands, London, Dubai and Hong Kong, is a major competitor in the offshore financial services market.
A registered listing agent of the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange, it has a strong funds business and also includes Walkers SPV Ltd, a licensed trust company based in the Cayman Islands with a branch office in Tokyo.
