Computer society to encourage web design

THE Jersey branch of the British Computer Society is planning to encourage the next generation of IT professionals with a schools website design competition.
Since the branch was founded three years ago it has quadrupled membership to nearly 200 and this year wants to raise the profile further, specifically promoting educational initiatives within the IT sector.
The website project will be launched in September, at the begininng of the next school year, and was conceived to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the BCS.
