C&W launch home line

CABLE & Wireless have launched their first residential service in Jersey with a promise to be cheaper than Jersey Telecom.

The launch, which has seen an investment of millions of pounds, has broken the monopoly, giving every Islander a choice of what telephone operator they use.

The firm, which yesterday refused to comment on whether it was a potential buyer of Jersey Telecom, unveiled their new residential land line with a pledge to cut phone bills by between 10% and 50%, breaking the Jersey Telecom monopoly on home phone lines for the first time.
