Union ‘outrage’ at Telecom plan

THE union that represents 300 Jersey Telecom workers is ‘outraged’ at plans to sell off the business.
Amicus also expressed ‘anger and concern’ in response to an announcement yesterday from Treasury Minister Terry Le Sueur that he believes the States should sell the utility.
Amicus regional officer Mike Budd condemned the announcement and said there had been no consultation with staff.
He said the company is on the market and said that the Council of Ministers had actually agreed in principle to the sale.
