Siege man charged

THE man involved in the seven-hour gun siege on Thursday, Lee de Mouilpied (30), has been charged with a number of firearms offences and is due to appear in the Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
He has been charged with possessing a firearm without a valid licence, discharging a firearm in a reckless/careless manner, use of a firearm or imitation firearm with intent to resist arrest and malicious damage.
De Mouilpied was overcome by police officers with CS spray at his home in Grands Vaux at around 4.30 pm following the lengthy siege.
