Another victory for U15 cricketers
Wednesday 26th July 2006, 12:00AM BST.
THE Channel Islands U15 cricketers had their second win in two games yesterday when they beat the Shropshire team at the Taunton Cricket Festival.
The Shropshire side batted first and were all out for 193, all-rounder Tim Ravenscroft taking four for 27, and Steven Blackburn and Sam de la Haye taking one each, for 25 and 19, respectively.
The CI then scored 197 for eight, Jon Clark producing 33 runs, Peter Millar 25 and, clearly having a good day, Sam de la Haye was 41 not out.
Today’s match is against Dorset who, thus far, have lost both their matches.
‘But that may have absolutely no bearing on today’s results and we must keep our concentration,’ CI team manager Chris Minty said.
