New plea for wind power

JERSEY should be prepared to consider doing more to help the global effort to reduce carbon emissions, the chief executive of Jersey Electricity has suggested.
Mike Liston, made an OBE in the New Year Honours, says that by reducing its use of the La Collette power station JE has already reduced the Island’s emissions by 35%. But more could be achieved by changes to behaviour and investment in sources of natural energy.
