Sports centre needed for future champions

A PURPOSE-built centre for sports development could give Jersey the champions of the future, according to an Island tennis and football coach.
Tim Le Feuvre is hoping to find somewhere to build a multi-purpose sports centre to house children’s activities group Sports Bug. If he finds the right site, he says he could help young people develop the skills needed to become world-class athletes. Mr Le Feuvre had hoped to work with leisure company Center Parcs when it planned to set up a new centre on the St Helier waterfront, but the company has since pulled out.
