Main in bar brawl faces jury trial

A MAN involved in a bar brawl in a St Helier pub last year appeared before a jury in the Royal Court yesterday.
Ryan Colin Barrett (22), of St John’s Road – a junior architect – is charged with affray after being involved in a fight on 28 May in the Africa House, Bath Street. The Assize jury were shown CCTV footage of how the brawl began after Barrett, who has pleaded not guilty, confronted a man who he believed had hit his friend with a pool cue. The trial continues today.
