New ferry company offers link to UK

THE new car ferry company to sail between the Island and St Malo from March has done a deal to allow it to sell through-tickets to the UK with a sister ferry company.

HDferries will offer deals with low-cost conventional ferry operator LDlines from Le Havre to Portsmouth and is talking to Brittany Ferries about deals for Islanders to travel by ferry from St Malo to the UK. The deal struck with LDlines will reduce the overall ticket price by ten per cent of both portions of the journey. Meanwhile news of the new ferry operation in competition with Condor has been welcomed by the Jersey Hospitality Association.
