Bristol flights lost amid safety fears

ALL Flybe flights from Jersey to Bristol were cancelled over the weekend amid fears that a runway was not safe after planes reportedly skidded on landing.
Ten airlines boycotted the airport and diverted or cancelled flights, and bosses in Bristol took the decision yesterday to close after a third day of disruption. Nearly 80 Jersey passengers had their flights cancelled yesterday and those who had booked to travel today were hoping that normal service would be resumed by lunchtime.
