Europe experts open up

AN Austrian bank with a focus on eastern Europe has been granted regulatory permission to open a branch in Jersey.

Raiffeisen Zentralbank (RZB) was established in 1927 and is ranked the 94th largest bank in the world.

It is a leading network in central and eastern Europe and has a presence in 16 markets there.

Initially RZB will be licensed in Jersey as a fund distributor and has been granted permits for seven of its Vienna-based funds.
