Labourer jailed for killing his mother

A GUERNSEY labourer who beat up his mother before strangling her to death with a tow rope was jailed for seven years by the island’s Royal Court yesterday.
Wayne Le Sauvage (32) denied murdering his mother Elaine on 5 January last year, but admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility. Relatives of the victim, a hospital worker, yesterday condemned the sentence as too lenient. Her eldest son, Martyn Noyon, speaking after the sentence was handed down last night, said that the verdict was a ‘disgrace’.
