We are not going back on deal, say Airport firm

MANAGERS at Airport security company G4S have denied going back on an agreement on pay and conditions struck with workers before Christmas.

Yesterday, the union representing employees of the company threatened that strike action was once again looming because they felt betrayed. TGWU spokesman Nick Corbel claimed that a draft document produced by the management imposed conditions on sick pay that were not mentioned in discussions last year which had averted industrial action. However, a statement released by G4S said that negotiations were ongoing and the draft document setting out employee sick pay entitlements stayed within the framework agreed before Christmas.
