Mauritius office for legal firm

APPLEBY Hunter Bailhache is to open a new office in Mauritius to give clients better access to the emerging markets in Africa and Asia.
It will open next month in the capital of Port Louis, becoming the group’s fifth offshore location, and Appleby expects the new operation to expand rapidly.
The new office will operate under the name Appleby (Mauritius International) Ltd.
It will open with two partners, Mauritian Gilbert Noel and Malcolm Moller, who is transferring from Appleby’s Bermuda office.
There will also be two associates and support staff.
