Vote for me, appeals ice-dancing rugby star

Monday 15th January 2007, 12:00AM GMT.

ENGLAND rugby star Kyran Bracken has been getting tips from ice-skating legends Torvill and Dean to prepare him for his TV ice dancing debut next weekend.

Kyran MBE (35), who considers Jersey as his home, will be starring in the reality television show Dancing on Ice on Saturday. He is competing against 11 other celebrities, including TV presenter Ulrika Johnson, ex-Boyzone singer Stephen Gately and Lee Sharpe, a former Manchester United football player. Kyran, who was in the England squad when they won the World Cup in 2003, reckons his sporting background will give him an advantage over the popstar celebrities. The show will be presented by Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on ITV 1 at 6.40 pm.
