Le Rocquier join the elite
Tuesday 16th January 2007, 12:00AM GMT.
LE ROCQUIER has become one of only 17 schools in Britain to receive an ‘extremely elite’ national award.
The school’s transformation has helped make it the first organisation in the Channel Islands to achieve above-standard recognition for Investors in People – and the first ever organisation to achieve this feat on its first assessment. According to its Jersey adviser Bob Amy, Investors in People ‘is a business improvement tool designed to advance an organisation’s performance through its people.’ Headteacher Richard Rolfe said he was thrilled that they had been judged so highly. ‘Profile is not just an assessment of current status, it represents a blueprint for future action,’ he said. ‘This whole process has helped us to think about how we develop people, the organisation and their combined effect on performance.’
