A new scale tracks ministers’ progress
Wednesday 17th January 2007, 12:00AM GMT.
MINISTERS have got top marks in their first ‘school report’ from the Chief Minister Frank Walker.
Six months after the States approved the Strategic Plan – the five-year road map for Jersey’s future – Senator Walker says his ministers are well on track to achieving their objectives. The report, released by the department today, rates 194 initiatives on a traffic light scale of green, amber and red – which translates as ‘on track’, ‘slightly behind schedule’ and ‘off track’. Of them, 88 per cent have got a green rating, 11 per cent amber and one per cent red. The only departments to receive red ratings on some of their initiatives are Treasury and Resources and Education, Sport and Culture.
