Another day in the life of a superstar…
Wednesday 17th January 2007, 12:00AM GMT.
NERINA Pallot could become Jersey’s first recipient of a Brit Award.
The former Jersey College for Girls pupil has been nominated in the female solo artist category of Britain’s music ‘Oscars’, which will take place at Earls Court on 14 February. And although the 31-year-old does not expect to win, the day is still likely to be memorable for Nerina – not least because she is getting married that afternoon. Nerina, whose second album Fires was met with critical acclaim, will tie the knot with fellow Islander Andrew Chatterley in London. The newlyweds will then rush to Earls Court for the Brit awards. In what is likely to be a frenetic few days for the couple, Andrew will fly in from Los Angeles the day before their St Valentine’s Day wedding, as he has been nominated for a Grammy Award. The 33-year-old Old Victorian is a dance music producer and could win the remixed recording non-classical category at the American version of the Brits, which will be held on 11 February.
