MOBILE phone radiation could be making up to 2,500 Islanders seriously ill, according to a UK academic and scientist.
Radiation Research Trust member Barrie Trower – who is in the Island to give evidence before a Scrutiny panel – has told the JEP that thousands of ‘electro-sensitive’ people could be suffering depression, tiredness, mood swings and prolonged illness – but do not know why. He compared the mobile phone emissions to smoking, BSE and asbestos – the threats from all of which were not recognised until it was too late.
