THE Portuguese Club of Jersey retained their five-point lead at the top of Division II after they and second-placed Jersey Wanderers both won on Saturday, writes Andy Bradshaw.

On target for the winners were Joao Mendonca and Kamil Adamczuk together with an own goal.

Junior David Kenyon hit his second hat-trick in three games, taking his total to 11 this season, in Wanderers’ 7-2 home win against bottom-placed St John.

Dave Ibbotson notched a brace and Kyle Riddell and junior Pierce Cummins, who scored with his first touch, singles for the winners with Colin Dumond (penalty) and Richie Griffiths replying.
