Heathrow link to be restored in March

JERSEY is almost certain to get its London Heathrow air link back in March when Bmi start services.

The news of the restoration of the link to Britain’s premier airport is expected to be officially announced tomorrow, when senior figures from the airline are due in the Island to sign a deal. Flights will start on 26 March and it is understood that the airline will fly Airbus aircraft on the route. It will be a twice-daily service. The first flight will leave Heathrow’s Terminal One at 7.10 am, arriving in Jersey at 8.15, and the first flight from the Island will be at 8.40 am, landing at Heathrow at 9.45. The evening flight will leave Heathrow at 6.40 pm and arrive here at 7.40, and it will depart Jersey at 8.35 pm, arriving in London at 9.35.
