Saturday 27th January 2007, 12:00AM GMT.
THE paedophile convicted this week of child porn offences was paid more than £117,000 while suspended from his £26,000-a-year States job on full pay.
Between August 2002, when he first appeared in the Magistrate’s Court, and his trial this week, hospital porter Ernest Le Heuzé continued to receive his salary – plus bonus and overtime allowances. Health Minister Stuart Syvret yesterday gave his assurance that the 55-year-old, who was once a youth worker and had a massive porn collection, would now be sacked. However, it remains unclear when disciplinary proceedings will start against him. On Thursday Le Heuzé was unanimously convicted in the Royal Court of 13 counts of making indecent pictures of children. Some of the images he had downloaded featured children as young as six being raped.
