Housing to go green on site at Le Squez

Assistant Minister Jackie Hilton said today that they were about to invite tenders from local architects and were looking for proposals which would incorporate a range of environmentally friendly features. ‘We will be demonstrating that Jersey’s government is serious about shouldering its environmental responsibilities and wants to be at the cutting edge of change,’ she said. Carbon-neutral involves reducing climate-damaging carbon emissions wherever possible and planting new trees or investing in green technologies like solar or wind power.
