Trinity plan for green waste dump
Thursday 12th April 2007, 12:00AM BST.
A TRINITY Centenier wants to turn one of his fields into a green waste dump.
Eight weeks after Planning ordered Norman Le Maistre to close his composting facility at White Rock, due to its proximity to a neolithic wall, he has applied to set up an alternative site in a nearby field. Designer Rob Williams hopes that the plans for Field 1431 on Rue de Câtel, which include surrounding banks, tree planting and measures to prevent run-off, will be acceptable to Planning. He has stressed that the family have no intention of running a commercial operation and parishioners should not fear a stream of trucks and lorries offloading waste. The site will primarily be used to dispose of green waste from his son’s landscape gardening business.
