Tourism takes online advantage of free publicity

JERSEY Tourism has taken its place alongside the hundreds of thousands of weird and wonderful video clips on You Tube.
The department has posted the four advertisements recently seen on national television on the video clip website as well as footage of the Fête dé Noué and other events. Ben Perron, the man in charge of new media at Tourism, said You Tube presented the Island with another opportunity to get the message across that the Island was a great place to visit. He explained that You Tube offered free advertising and was a free tool to give people in the industry easy access to clips that they could use in their promotional material. The most popular clip so far has been the footage of the Fête dé Noué, filmed at Christmas.
