Drug may be cause of death number 7
Thursday 19th April 2007, 12:00AM BST.
A KILLER drug that is more than 100 times more powerful than heroin may have claimed its seventh victim in less than a year.
The States police have confirmed that they were called in on Tuesday to look into the death of a 37-year-old man found dead in the Beaumont area. It is suspected that his death was linked to the prescription drug Fentanyl, which has been confirmed as the cause of five overdoses in the past year and linked to a sixth death. A spokesman for the States police said: ‘It is thought that this death was drug-related, but no definite cause can be given at present.’
