No decision yet on how to charge GST

NO final decision was made on whether the new goods and services tax will be charged on individual items or on total bills when the States concluded the debate on the new tax yesterday.
ing the sitting that a new price marking law will be put to the States before the summer recess by Economic Development Minister Philip Ozouf that will allow Members to make a final decision on the best way of GST being charged to consumers. The new Draft Goods and Services Tax Law was approved by 36 to 10 in third reading and will now go to the Privy Council for approval.
