Independence on Guernsey agenda

GUERNSEY politicians are discussing independence from the UK at a meeting behind closed doors today.
All Guernsey States members as well as politicians from Sark and Alderney were expected to attend the seminar on constitutional affairs being held at La Trelade Hotel. But the press and piblic were excluded from attending the meeting that may help shape the future direction of the islands to the north. Proposal Guernsey Chief Minister Mike Torode said that independence was only one scenario to be considered and no proposal was actually on the table.
