Domestic violence campaign launched
Monday 23rd April 2007, 12:00AM BST.
A NEW anti-domestic violence campaign is to be launched today. And this year the message is that no matter where they are in the world, domestic abusers speak the same language.
There are several elements to this year’s week-long campaign, starting tonight with a powerful advertisement to be broadcast on Channel TV depicting the effects of emotional abuse on a woman. Commercials will also run on radio station Channel 103 FM highlighting the effects that domestic abuse can have on women and on men. The highlight of today’s launch will be an exhibition of posters at the Welcome Centre of images which have been gathered from all over the world. The exhibition will be in place for the week.
