Mafia drugs case: Islanders in court
Thursday 26th April 2007, 12:00AM BST.
THREE Jersey residents have appeared in court in Rennes charged in connection with a multi-million-pound drug smuggling operation involving the Russian mafia.

Jersey, it appears, was being used as a backdoor route to the UK. The Rennes Court heard yesterday how a London couple hired to act as drug mules drove a Spanish registered four-wheel-drive towing a compressor from Malaga to St Malo in May 2005.
