Number of Aids victims doubles
Friday 27th April 2007, 12:00AM BST.
THE number of Islanders diagnosed with Aids doubled last year compared with 2005.
New figures released today by local Aids charity Acet in its annual report reveal that 12 people were diagnosed with the infection last year. There is also increased anxiety about sex tourists visiting places such as Thailand and returning to the Island with HIV and unknowingly infecting others.
