Skateboard showdown

JERSEY’s first skateboarding ‘Muratti’ will be held in the Island next month.

The top skaters in the Channel Islands will go head to head at WheelJam07. The event will be held as part of the Sure Great Outdoors Show, which will be taking place at Manor Farm in St Peter on 23 and 24 June. A variety of ramps will be built in a field opposite St Peter’s Bars for the inter-island championship. But members of the public, both young and old, will also be able to try their hand at the extreme sport. The ramps will be available for use by BMXs and trial bikes as well.
