Amendments to Business Plan cover WEB and whistleblowers

AMENDMENTS covering the Waterfront Enterprise Board, States spending, drains and protection for whistleblowers have been attached to the Business Plan.

The plan, set to be debated on 18 September, covers public spending plans for next year. Treasury Minister Terry Le Sueur’s Business Plan calls for a 7.2 per cent increase in spending, taking public spending next year to £559m. Although the spending increase is well above inflation, ministers said that it was workable if a goods and services tax was brought in as planned in May.
