Man in hospital following assault

A MAN in his 60s needed hospital treatment after being beaten up in St Clement last night.

He was attacked by two men in School Road, Le Squez, at around 6.30 pm and suffered facial injuries including a suspected fractured cheek bone. The pair ran off towards St Clement’s Coast Road after the assault. Two men, aged 21 and 31, have been arrested in connection with the assault and are now helping the police with their inquiries. A woman was also arrested, but has been released pending further inquiries. One of the attackers is described as being slim, around 5 ft 7 in tall and wearing a grey and white hooded top. He spoke with a local accent. The second man is described as being stocky and of medium build, with short brown or black hair. He wore a black T-shirt and black jeans. He also spoke with a local accent. The police are appealing for witnesses to call them on 612200 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
