Two-way contest for Health ministry?

SOCIAL Security Minister Paul Routier and Senator Ben Shenton look likely to contest the vacant Health ministry next week.
Despite being a few months away from finishing the Income Support package that will roll existing benefits and welfare into a single payment, Senator Routier appears to be the candidate being backed by the Council of Ministers. He declined to comment on links to the position at Health, saying that the Income Support scheme was his top priority. And Senator Shenton has thrown his hat into the ring for the job vacated by the dismissed Senator Stuart Syvret this week. Nearly eight years ago Senator Syvret took over the presidency of the Health Committee from Senator Shenton’s father, Dick Shenton.
