Malzard on track in France

CHANNEL Islands champion trainer Alyson Malzard had a successful showing in France at the weekend.
Mobus Wan, carrying top weight, led from start to finish to beat 13 rivals to the Prix du President P Daguet at a flat six furlong Sable Sur Sathe oval track with very tight bends.
And this year’s CI champion race horse Koka Fast came fourth in the Prix de la Taude.
He led the field of nine runners in the two mile hurdle race and was only beaten three lengths by the winner who carried some five kilos less.
Both horses were ridden by regular jockey Adam Jones.
Khuzdar, ridden by Gerard Avranches, also ran this weekend in a competitive 16 runner race at Nantes but was unplaced.
‘We had two great days out and officials at both race courses made us feel very welcome.
We are now giving the race horses a well deserved rest and are planning to race in France again next year,’ said Malzard.
