Meeting called to clean up St Brelade
Wednesday 26th September 2007, 12:00AM BST.
A PUBLIC meeting is being called to discuss vandalism, noise, litter, drinking and dog mess in the Les Quennevais area.
St Brelade Deputy Sean Power is organising the meeting to provide a chance for residents to have their say and as a first step to cleaning up the area. It is being held at 7.30 pm on Monday at Communicare and will be attended by parish officials, the honorary police and community officers from the States force. Deputy Power said: ‘The Les Quennevais and Red Houses area is generally a pleasant place to live. It has young families, retired people and a good cross section of society. It has the benefit of excellent bus connections and a good shopping area. ‘However, over the summer period and recently, I have been contacted by members of the public on many occasions who have concerns about certain behaviour in the Les Quennevais area.’
