Careers teachers spend a day exploring the finance industry

CAREERS teachers this month abandoned their classrooms for a day exploring the finance industry.

Thirteen careers teachers attended the inaugural Careers Teachers Familiarisation Day and heard presentations from senior finance professionals.

The day, which was designed and organised by Jersey Finance, was attended by careers teachers from the Island’s schools and representatives from the Careers Service.

An environmental lecturer who is considering a career switch to finance also attended in order to gain an overview of the range of career choices available.
