Bailiff opens new AIB premises
Friday 12th October 2007, 12:00AM BST.
GUINNESS was on tap and the ‘craic’ was flowing at the opening of the Allied Irish Bank at 25 Esplanade last Thursday evening.
The Bailiff, Sir Philip Bailhache, officially opened the building and around 90 bank, trust and law professionals attended the champagne reception.
AIB chief executive Joe Moynihan thanked everyone who had travelled from the UK and Ireland to be there and gave recognition to his predecessor, former chief executive, Diarmuid Lynes, who came up with the idea to move from Grenville Street to the Waterfront.
