ST OUEN returned to the top of Division II on goal-difference above Sporting Academics on Saturday.

Despite trailing 1-0 against Jersey Nomads, the Saints fought back to win 3-2 following goals by Rob Sanford, Scott Samson and Lucas Parker.

On target for Nomads were Ged O’Donoghue and Ben Holt.

St Brelade moved up two places to third after they thumped bottom-placed St Lawrence 8-0 at St Brelade.

Rob Campbell, Ricky Figueira and Scott Boydens all scored twice and Ollie Nightingale and Tim Geall once each.

Ten-man St John collected their first points of the season thanks to Sean Ganly’s stoppage-time goal at St John against Magpies, who suffered their first defeat.

The hosts had Nelson Pinto sent off following an alleged heat-butt.

St Clement also chalked up their first win, 6-2 at St Martin/SCF where Beau Waugh (three), Adam Claxton (two) and Andy McGinnigle registered for the winners.

St Martin/SCF’s consolations were by James Jones and John Montgomery.

St Paul’s moved to the top of Division I Reserves on goal-difference above Jersey Wanderers following a 3-2 success over St Peter at St Saviour.

Stefan de Smitt, Paul McGinness and Kenny Chalk were on target for St Paul’s and Mark Stewart and James Parker for St Peter.

Wanderers slipped from top spot after they shared eight goals at the Hockey Club with Jersey Scottish.

Duncan Prince (two), Stuart Brown and Tom McKenna registered for Wanderers and Luke Watson, Reuben Legge (two) and Charlie Franks for Scottish.

The Portuguese Club increased their Division II Reserves lead to three points after they won and previously second-placed Sporting Academics lost.

Portuguese scored six goals without reply at Les Quennevais against St John through Joao Antunes (two), Joao Mendonca (two), Elson Delgado and Fabio Andrade.

St Clement moved into second spot after Matt Rawlings grabbed a hat-trick and Greg Marshall and Paul Andrews singles in a 5-0 home win against St Martin/SCF.

The Accies slipped one place to third after a 2-1 defeat at Trinity where Marc Reid and Alex Kilpatrick hit the target for the hosts and Michael Perreira for the visitors.

Jersey Nomads stay fourth following a 2-1 win against St Lawrence at the FB Fields.

Craig Armstrong and Chris Duhamel notched for Nomads and Alan Fernandes for St Lawrence.

Magpies remain two points adrift at the bottom following a 6-1 defeat by Beeches Old Boys at the Airport.

Simon Logan (three), Ashton De Carteret and Joey Le Clech (from 30 yards), scored for the winners and Ben Hamilton for the losers.

Scott Young bagged his fourth hat-trick of the campaign as Jersey Wanderers won 5-1 against Rozel Rovers at Le Couvent to move five points clear at the top of Division C from a game played more.

Gary Duncan and Michael Cummins hit Wanderers’ other goals with Peter Hawley netting the Rovers’ consolation.

Jason Gow and Marcel Thomas both scored twice in St Brelade’s 6-3 victory against Sporting Academics at the IJ Bathe Field.

Phil Jordan and Simon Davies also registered for the visitors with the Accies on the mark through Bobby Melim (two) and Terry McGrinder.
