Horse attack: Man arrested
Thursday 18th October 2007, 12:00AM BST.
A 30-YEAR-OLD man was arrested last night in relation to the dart attack on a horse in a St John field this week.
The man arrested was later released after questioning pending further inquiries. On Tuesday afternoon the horse, Sir Galahad, owned by vet Max Allan and his wife Lorraine, was shot at close range in the genitals with a home-made dart, probably fired from an air weapon. Mrs Allan said today that they had had many calls from people wanting to know the condition of the horse. ‘Many others have also called the veterinary surgery to find out about him,’ she said.
