Mont Nicolle and VCP reign at the Manor

MONT NICOLLE and Victoria College Prep were crowned the girls and boys champions, respectively, at the Primary Schools cross-country relays at St Ouen’s Manor yesterday.

Held in beautiful conditions, with 23 schools competing over the circular course, VCP’s Sam Willing, Jack Tait, Stanley Livingston and Joshua Rondel turned over Bel Royal’s early lead to beat second-placed De La Salle home by 30 seconds.

Bel Royal also started strongly in the girls’ race but were unable to maintain the pace with JCG, St George’s Prep, La Moye, D’Auvergne and Mont Nicolle all pushing hard, with the steady running of the latter’s Jodie Blampied, Lauren Lowe, Phoebe Gould and Libby Ellis-Brecknell bringing them home first.
