Flybe aircrew ‘collapsed after breathing fumes’

FLYBE crew have reportedly collapsed after breathing noxious fumes that leaked into the cabin of a BAe 146 aircraft.

BBC Five Live reported over the weekend that incidents allegedly involving contaminated air on ten Belfast-bound flights had prompted a protest by cabin crew. Flybe made no comment about the accuracy of the report but said it was ‘completely confident’ that its aircraft met the highest industry standards. ‘Not one of Flybe’s 700 pilots has ever refused to fly any of our aircraft,’ say the airline.
